Beady Eye kicked off the Glastonbury festival today (28.06.13) in front of thousands of fans.
Liam Gallagher's band opened the iconic music event on Worthy Farm in Pilton, Somerset, South West England, with an unadvertised secret set.
The band had cryptically hinted at their performance with a post on their Twitter account days before which read "Where will you BE? 11am 28.06.13."
Despite the early start, a huge throng of festival goers rushed to The Other Stage to see the band.
On stage, Liam joked about the early start time of the gig to his raucous audience, saying: "I don't want to spoil your morning or give you a headache but you've been amazing - but not as good as us! What's the time? 11:30?"
The band - who were joined by a brass section - opened with 'Flick of the Finger' and played several other songs from their new album 'BE', including 'Iz Rite', 'Face The Crowd' and 'I'm Just Saying'.
Two Oasis tracks were also included in the setlist, 'Morning Glory' and 'Rock 'n' Roll Star', both of which sent the crowd wild.
Liam dedicated 'Rock 'n' Roll' star to his son Lennon - his child with ex-wife Patsy Kensit - who was watching at the side of the stage with the singer's wife Nicole Appleton and their son Gene and Liam's daughter Molly, his child with musician Lisa Moorish.
Beady Eye closed with 'The Roller' and 'Bring The Light'.
The last time Liam, guitarist Gem Archer and lead guitarist Andy Bell played at Glastonbury in 2004 they headlined with Oasis - which disbanded after Noel Gallagher quit in August 2009.
The super-group also topped the bill in 1995 after performing one of the sets of the weekend in 1994 - a performance which organiser Michael Eavis has listed in his top five festival moments.
