Scottish singer KT Tunstall is refusing to speak to her stepfather after he announced he was standing as a candidate for a controversial political party in the U.K.
The Suddenly I See rocker cut off all contact with her stepdad, David Orr, when she discovered he was hoping to be nominated as a representative of the far-right British National Party in Livingston, Scotland.
Her spokesperson tells Britain's Daily Express, "KT abhors the BNP and all they stand for. She now has no contact with David Orr."
Orr adds, "This has caused huge problems in my family. I've had KT's people on the phone basically saying that she won't have anything further to do with me and doesn't want to see me again. It doesn't bother me. I've nothing to be ashamed of."
