Nick Lachey is planning to wed again - Jessica Simpson's ex-husband has asked longtime girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo marry him.
Representatives for the couple have confirmed they are engaged. A joint statement issued to UsMagazine.com reads, "We're excited and incredibly happy about our engagement and we look forward to a wonderful future together."
The couple started dating in 2006 shortly after Lachey divorced Simpson. The engagement news comes just days before the couple celebrates joint birthdays - Lachey will turn 37 and Minnillo 30 on 9 November.
