'A future star' is how BBC Radio 2 DJ Janice Long describes singer Robert Vincent. His music is the heartbeat of the new Liverpool music scene and now he’s emerging as one of the UK’s most talented singer-songwriters.

Robert’s debut album 'Life In Easy Steps' is released on January 28th, preceded by the typically catchy, yet poignant, title track as a single on January 7th continuing the momentum built up with plenty of stirring live shows across the UK, two introductory EP releases, 'The Bomb' and 'My Pill,' and first single proper 'Riot’s Cry'.

With his recent nomination as Best Male Artist at the Liverpool Music Awards, Robert’s music is getting the recognition that his Merseyside spin on his love of Americana thoroughly deserves.

Slowly but surely, the buzz has been getting ever louder and he’s picked up plenty of national radio support from the likes of Radcliffe & Maconie on 6Music and Janice Long on Radio 2.

He’s also performed acoustic sessions on 5 Live (where presenter Dotun Adebayo enthusiastically announced to his listeners Robert was 'worth the wait'), BBC London’s Robert Elms show and numerous BBC stations around the UK.

Robert explains: "Life In Easy Steps came from the frustration of yet more hurdles, closed doors and dead ends, personally and professionally. The constant dirge of dealing with hollow and lethargic people had come full circle and I was at breaking point.

"I had started to write a poem that had a line ‘With a book called, life in easy steps.’ which came from the realisation that the perfect existence we all search for is unachievable. What motivates and drives us, is in fact those very frustrations.

"I feel like we’re forever writing that ‘book,’ and it’s forever providing us with chapters. The more I put in, little by little, for me, the easier and clearer life becomes."

Having spent years building up to the release of his debut album and with such positive reactions from some of the industry’s most prominent tastemakers, Robert’s certainly set to leave his mark on our collective consciousness.

"It’s been hard work getting here but I’ve never, ever wanted to pack it in. I know what I’m here for - to do this. It’s always been music for me. One hundred per cent."
