Mary Byrne

Mary Byrne is set to release her brand new album 'with Love' on March 5th through Decca Records, Universal Music. The album is the follow up to double platinum selling debut 'Mine & Yours'.

Recorded in County Antrim and produced by legendary musician Phil Coulter, 'with Love' shows a delicate, romantic side to Mary featuring tracks such as 'You Don’t Know Me' and 'You Needed Me'

Her new album is a collection of classic songs, some that are personal to Mary, others that have been suggested to her by Phil. It also includes a brand new Phil Coulter song called, ‘Thank God This Was My Life’, which has been inspired by Mary’s own life.

Mary says of the album "Although we didn’t set out to make a love album, that’s how it has turned out. It’s a sad album and yet a happy album with lots of memories there for my age group.

"When people stick it on on Christmas morning as they are doing the turkey, they’ll be able to sing along with a tear in their eye and a smile on their face."

Across the water, the album will be released by Decca UK in 2012 where Mary will be amongst great company with fellow native and multi-platinum selling artist Imelda May sharing the label, along with Andrea Bocelli, Hayley Westenra and Jamie Cullum to name but a few.

Mary Byrne made claim to fame last year by winning the nation's heart with her incredible voice and warm, down-to-earth personality during the last season of The X-Factor.

This year, Mary completed The X-Factor Tour, and released her debut album 'Mine & Yours' after signing a record deal with Sony Music Ireland.

The album achieved remarkable success, sitting at Number 1 on the official Irish Album Charts for two weeks and in the top ten for eight consecutive weeks. The widely acclaimed album also enjoyed top ten chart success in the UK.

Mary had the great honour of being asked to perform for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II at a special gala performance in Dublin earlier this year to mark The Queen's first official state visit.

She was also delighted to have been invited to perform as special guest at Neil Diamond's concert at the Aviva Stadium in June.

2012 is also set to be a busy year for Mary. She is set to take to the stage in the touring production of the West End hit musical Grease in the role of ‘Teen Angel’. The tour will see Mary play in Glasgow, Belfast and Derry.
