Eminem has reunited with his D12 bandmates at a free show to launch his comeback album Relapse on Tuesday night.

The rapper invited fans and unemployed former autoworkers to the hometown show at the Sound Board theater in the Motor City Hotel Casino and wowed them with an eight-song, 35-minute set.

After playing seven tracks from his new album, Eminem reteamed with D12 for a raucous rendition of his Lose Yourself hit, the rap star briefly paid tribute to slain former collaborator and pal MC Proof, telling cheering fans, "I'm a little bit nervous 'cause I don't have my right-hand man with me... Make some noise if you miss Proof."

And he also made a reference to his past drug problems, asking fans to "get f**ked up for me," explaining "I can't anymore". But, all joking aside, he added, "This might actually be one of the best shows I've ever done, 'cause when I get offstage I'm actually gonna remember it."

The performance was filmed, and two of the songs will be broadcast on Friday night's Jimmy Kimmel Live! show in America.
