Jay Electronica is the latest star to join the line-up at Jay-Z's U.S. record label Roc Nation.
The hip-hop mogul announced the deal on Saturday night at an exclusive music industry function at New York City nightspot The Box. He told crowd, "We're trying to reintroduce magic to hip-hop," before announcing the New Orleans rapper as his latest addition to the newly-formed label.
Electronica then moved the crowd performing a string of songs as he made his way to the stage, telling the crowd, "This is a real moment for me, so forgive me while I do what I do best."
Roc Nation also boasts acts J. Cole, Willow Smith and The Ting Tings.
