After signing to Mercury records a few years ago, Mikill has made his imprint in the music industry. He has already worked with some of the hottest producers in the business, and has toured with Ed Sheeran, Mac Miller and the Rizzle Kicks.

Now he releases the first single off his upcoming album Blame Miss Barclay.

Mikill is a feel good artist, with a strong London accent shining through his vocals, which reminds me of another rapper, Tinie Tempah.

He speaks the truth, alongside steady beats and dance-like-melodies. Summer in the City is a bouncy track that would be perfect for a summer festival, an infectious hook flows through the song ‘When the sun shines on the big city/ promise me that you’ll be there with me.’

Whistle harmonies mixed with fresh beats and honest lyrics, it will definitely be a hit.

There is already a lyric video for Summer in the City, so head over to YouTube to watch.

Lie back in the sun, put your headphones in and listen to this likeable track, you won’t regret it.

Mikill Pane’s debut album Blame Miss Barclay and the fresh new single Summer In The City are both out on the 9th September.
