Following January’s low key release of Kid Sister’s “Pro Nails” on super star DJ A-Trak’s Fools Gold label, June 23rd marks its full UK release on brand new Warner Music imprint Asylum. Produced by twice DMC World DJ Champion A-Trak and featuring Kanye West, the song is an up-tempo ode to all things fly and comes hot on the heals of her appearance on The Count & Sinden’s club smash Beeper, in which she also features in the video. The feisty 20 something’s club friendly single is stacked with girlie attitude and is reminiscent of Salt-n-Pepa if they had made tracks for the iPod generation of the now.

The video for “Pro Nails” was directed by MIA and Dizzee Rascal lensman Ruben Fleischer and features Kanye West and a gang of psychedelic nail-ed dancing fingers. Remix’s come courtesy of SMD, hotly tipped Australian remixers of the moment Bag Raiders and Chi-town juke house hero Gant Man.

Kid Sister is from Markham, Illinois but currently resides on Chicago's North Side. Her DJ (J2K of Flosstradamus) is her real brother, and yes that does rule. Together they're taking the Chicago music scene (and the rest of the world) by storm, rocking parties and causing all around dancefloor mayhem.

Already being hailed by Rolling Stone as one of ten acts to watch out for in 2008, Kid Sister is busy in the studio with a melting pot of brand new and established production talent working on her forthcoming album.

In the last year, Kid Sister has rocked shows from Chicago to London to Australia and more recently her show stealing performance at SXSW. She’ll be over in the UK this summer to play Glastonbury and Wireless festival so make sure you catch her there!
