Chad Gilbert has kicked off 2010 on a high note after learning he's cancer free.
The New Found Glory guitarist had his thyroid removed after a cancer scare, and the surgery has been a complete success.
In a post on his Twitter.com blog, Gilbert writes, "(I'm) laying in my recovery room... They removed half my thyroid but no cancer. Thanks for the prayers, love you."
