Chris Hemsworth is learning more Spanish from his two-year-old daughter than his wife.

Chris Hemsworth admits his Spanish could be "better" but says he has learned more from his two-year-old daughter than wife Elsa Pataky.

The 31-year-old actor has kids, India Rose, and 10-month-old twin sons Tristan and Sasha, with actress Elsa Pataky, who hails from Madrid, and while he is trying to master her native tongue, he admits he could be doing a lot better at it than he is.

He said: "My wife talks to me in Spanish when I'm in trouble.

"I'm probably learning more Spanish from my daughter speaking it because she speaks a lot slower than my wife does.

"It should be better, but I'm working on it."

Despite being hard on himself, the 'Avengers Assemble' star doesn't seem to have a lot of time to learn Spanish let alone spend time with Elsa, but they try their best to go out for date nights whenever their parents can look after their children.

He added in an interview with Britain's HELLO! magazine: "Having the grandparents around is key.

"We have so many people coming and going that it's easy just to keep being around other people and never have your own time but we make a point of having a night for us, where we do things we did before - go to dinner or the movies.

"Going to the movies is one of our favourite things to do."
