Infertility

Is your body the hostile environment that's stopping you getting pregnant

With more and more couples struggling with fertility and increase in the use of IVF and other medical treatments to help them conceive are they missing out an important factor - unhealthy diet and lifestyle choices may be the reason why they can't get pregnant.

Hannah Richards, of London's Move Three Sixty has recently been named by the Evening Standard as one of the top experts to see about fertility in London. Hannah is a functional diagnostic nutritionist and Metabolic Typing Advisor. She works with partner Claud Serjeant, seeing clients who seek advice because they offer an alternative to medical intervention and they are getting great results.

Getting pregnant

Clients typically come to see Hannah and her partner Claud Serjeant at their private London gym and treatment rooms because they are frustrated and upset that they cannot get pregnant either naturally or after a number of failed rounds of IVF.

Hannah Richards, believes that lifestyle is the main factor contributing to a couple's failure to conceive. Hannah and Claud work with clients to restore balance and function in people whose bodies have often become toxic due to lifestyle issues or health issues and these are the factors that are stopping them becoming pregnant.

"When we think about fertility issues we usually associate it with the woman's failure to conceive, and of course, the majority of clients I see with fertility issues are women but increasingly I am working with men because for a wide range of non-medical reasons they cannot impregnate their partners".

Getting pregnant

"There are often a number of reasons why women can't get pregnant and the solution is not necessarily medical invention nor is it just the women's fault", says Claud. Stress, and an unhealthy lifestyle and the wrong food can often be contributing factors creating an hostile environment for both men and women, stress especially can play havoc with a man's hormonal balance and that can stop a woman from conceiving naturally.

The pair work with their clients to create an environment by prescribing a nutritional programme to get the body into optimum health so that she will have a better chance of conceiving. "We work together with clients with both men and women to rebalance their sterodial Hormonal pathways, create a foundation of health through food and get him into tip top physical shape so he's as fertile as Superman and her body is as receptive and healthy as it can be".

The results and are impressive and it is no wonder that this dynamic team are much in demand and are helping couples work together to conceive.
