Affair Site Launch Dummies Guide to Having Affair
David Petreaus stepped down as head of the CIA last week after it was found that he was cheating on his wife.
The situation came to light after he and his lover were sharing an email address and she allegedly sent threatening emails to another love rival.
This prompted extra-marital affairs dating site MartialAffair.co.uk to do a survey in order to give people tips on how to have a successful affair.
The Dummies Guide to Having an Affair survey asked the sites members to share their cheating errors in order to warn others what not to do when having an affair.
One member shared his story with the site. He said, “I took my lover to a hotel in London. She obviously left her necklace because the next day the hotel left a message on my home answerphone to call them in relation to some belongings I had left behind.
“Fortunately I got the message before my wife, leaving them my number was an amateurish mistake.”
One female member told of her mistake, “I’d been abroad for an encounter with a guy I met on the site. I covered all my traces except on my return home I bought duty free cosmetics as Christmas presents on my bank card.
“Weeks later, my statements were on the coffee table and my boyfriend saw. ‘Gatwick, when did you go abroad?’ he asked. That was a tricky one.”
Travel caused many problems for cheaters and the top tips to avoid getting caught were to remove luggage tags and to divert all calls to voicemail which were coming from abroad.
The biggest must-do for any cheater was said to be getting a Pay-As-You-Go phone for your lover to contact you on.
Other essentials were listed as always paying in cash at bars, restaurants and theatres unless it is during work hours as you can then pass it off as a business related trip, and to always rid your pockets of recipes or any other tell-tale signs.
Having sex with your partner at the same frequency is also important so that they don’t become suspicious and the site said it was also important to remember not to show off any new moves that you may have learned elsewhere.
Those who have dabbled in cheating will know that it’s massively important for you to clear your internet history, but it appears clearing you phone history may be something you’ll have to consider doing too!
One member said, “I’d had a naughty tryst in a hotel from a gorgeous girl from the site. I’d typed the hotel into Google Maps on my iPhone. The next time I opened the maps app, I was with my girlfriend. I had to close it fast before she saw!”
