Top Texting Tips: Avoid Texter’s Block

Top Texting Tips: Avoid Texter’s Block

When you meet someone in everyday life, you can feel the chemistry if it’s there and it’s easy to flirt back and forth, but what about over text?

Naturally, it’s a lot harder to communicate successfully. You don’t want every second word to be LOL or LMAO and how do you gage what they’re really feeling?

Cupid.com have come up with a little advice on how to get it right and avoid having to reread, rewrite and proofread every text before finally sending it.

Keep it Balanced

Humour is good, sarcasm is bad. Find a good balance and leave the sarcasm alone until you know each other better or have met in person.

Using sarcasm pretty much always comes across in the wrong way over text as you don’t have the tone of voice or facial gestures to work with, so keep it under wraps.

Timing is Key

Are you one of those people who send one text multiple times until the receiver replies? Stop. Not only is it completely unnecessary but it is also a massive turn off and can make you look desperate.

Don’t be sending texts at all hours of the morning either. This will send off all the wrong signals so keep in prime time!

Stay Cool, Calm and Collected

Always keep in mind who you’re texting. Not everyone appreciates abbreviations so keep to full words at first.

Don’t be writing essay’s either, messages that are too long can be a turn off as well as a bore to read and a pain to reply to – keep it cool calm and collected and don’t give too much away too soon.

The romance experts at Cupid Plc have had a rummage through their own private texting collection to bring you some of the best and worst flirty messages, in an attempt to put you at ease, help you steer clear of disaster and put on the right path to flirty texting success.

The Shocking:

“Do you believe in love at first sight or do I have to walk by again?”

“You’re so beautiful that last night you made me forget my pickup line”

“I was just talking to my friends about you”

And the Winners:

“Stop thinking about me!”

“Where are you? I wish I was there”

“I think we should just be friends with sexual tension”
