The Perfect Way To Propose

The Perfect Way To Propose

What do we really get out of it, the day is a poor excuse to spend money on our other half and no doubt they won’t even be grateful for their presents probably leaving it cluttering up the living room.

I mean why do we need a day to celebrate our love for one an other, every day we should sit up, take a look at what we have around us and appreciate everything that is in our lives, whether it’s family, children, partners or even the dog greeting you when you get home.

I am fully aware what you think my relationship status is when reading this, alone and single. That isn’t the case after being coupled up for four years I am still against the whole day.

It makes me sick they way people will flaunt their love for one another why can’t we just get a card and be over it.

One of the conclusions I have come up with is we always want more, more gifts, more money spent on us and more going out to fancy meals. We live in a society where everyday life and cherishing the simple things for example walking the dog, spending time together, watching a movie isn’t enough for us.

Heaven help us if our partner doesn’t get us a gift does it mean they don’t love us anymore.

Does it heck, its probably down to men’s lack of awareness and not being able to walk past a card shop to acknowledge the fact its Valentine’s Day.

With the recession still hanging over our heads and our pockets still recovering from the Christmas present buying period we aren’t exactly rolling around in money. We barely have enough money for house hold bills and food instead of wasting it on a posh box of chocolates and a dozen red roses.

So here’s for keeping it simple this Valentine’s Day. Lets just stick to a nice card and a night in front of the TV because lets be honest it’s a win win situation that keeps everyone happy.
