Here are 7 celebrities that are linked with the royals, and how they managed to make friends with their highnesses.

James Blunt

James Blunt is in with the royal social circle thanks to his close friendship with Prince Harry. Their became friends in the mid-2000s when they served alongside each other in the British Army.

James was personally invited by the Duke of Sussex to attend the Invictus Games, and was also a guest at the Prince's wedding last year. James’ wife, Sofia Wellesley is also tied with the royals, as she is the daughter of Lord and Lady John Henry Wellesley, and the granddaughter of the eighth Duke of Wellington.

One of the most famous power couples, David and Victoria Beckham, are regulars at the most exclusive royal events.

They were guests at both Kate and Wills’, and Harry and Meghan’s weddings. According to Vogue, Prince William and David became friends when they worked together on London’s 2012 Olympic bid. Since then, the Beckhams have worked with the Cambridges on other campaigns, remaining firmly within the Royal social circle ever since.

Serena Williams

Since Meghan Markle became the Duchess of Sussex, there have been quite a few celebrity faces pop up on the Royal scene.

Serena Williams is one of those people. Considered one of Meghan’s best friends, Serena was of course invited to her wedding last year, and was at the New York baby shower. Despite only meeting in 2014, Serena and Meghan quickly became very close friends while participating in DirectTV’s Celebrity Beach Bowl.

Cara Delevingne

Supermodel, actress and activist, Cara Delevingne, was a guest at Princess Eugenie’s wedding last year. But it wasn’t the first Royal celebration that Cara had attended as Princess Eugenie’s guest. She was also invited to her 25th birthday party earlier that year.

James Corden

James has been good pals with Prince Harry for several years and was a guest at his wedding last year. He talked about the day on The Late Late Show, saying “I’ve known Prince Harry for about seven years now and it was wonderful. It was one of the most beautiful ceremonies I’ve ever been to.”

He also took the opportunity to joke about his resting face, as he was pictured looking pretty miserable during the ceremony, despite stating how joyous the occasion was.

George and Amal Clooney

George and Amal Clooney are both friends of Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry - and George shares the same birthday as the newest member of the Royal family, Meghan and Harry’s son.

However, they probably won’t be naming him after their friend, since their nephew - Prince William and Kate Middleton’s son, already has that name.

Prince Harry introduced George and Amal to Meghan, and apparently Amal even recommended a hair stylist and plenty of London restaurants to Meghan when she moved over to the U.K.

Elton John

Elton and the royals go way back.

Since he first met members of the most famous family in the world in the 70s, he has attended parties on the guest list and performed at many several royal events.

He was also a close friend of Princess Diana, whom he met at Prince Andrew’s 21st birthday party back in 1981. He performed at her funeral in 1996.
