Britain's Duchess Catherine embarked on her first solo engagement since giving birth earlier today (18.10.13).

The brunette royal - who gave birth to her and Prince William's first child, Prince George, on July 22 - supported young athletes at London's Olympic Park for charity SportAid, and even managed to show off her own volleyball skills during the trip.

Catherine - known as Kate Middleton prior to the couple's nuptials in April 2011 - looked in great shape as she bounced around the court in skinny jeans and three-inch wedges, and at one point she accidentally showed off her toned stomach when her T-shirt rode up while playing a point.

The duchess chatted to several young athletes at the Olympic Park in Stratford, east London, including badminton players and fencing competitors before moving on to the volleyball court.

Some eagle-eyed onlookers even spotted Catherine was wearing pretty much the exact same outfit she wore during a visit to the park last year.

The royal was announced as a patron for SportsAid in April this year, a move which was recently praised by veteran Olympian Sir Chris Hoy.

Chris, a SportsAid alumnus, said: "SportsAid played an important role when I was starting out so I know what a huge boost this will be to the young sportsmen and women the charity helps today.

"As patron Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cambridge will give them the profile they deserve."
