Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla

Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall will today (14.07.14) embark on a tour of the West Country in England.

The royal couple will begin their tour of the region by visiting people whose livelihoods were affected by the winter flooding which left hundreds of homes and businesses damaged beyond repair.

Prince Charles and Camilla are scheduled to visit Looe in South East Cornwall, where they will meet members of the Royal National Lifeboat Institue and businesses which were swamped by the flooding earlier this year.

Tomorrow, (15.07.14) the pair will tour the River Cottage restaurant with chef Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall, where they will meet young people, visit the cookery school and learn more about the skills behind searching for wild food and foraging.

Later in the week, they are expected to visit Jamie Oliver's restaurant Fifteen, the charity Surf Action and Tregunnel Hill.

The visit to the West Country comes just a week before the Royal family celebrate the first birthday of Prince George - the son of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
