Prince Edward

Prince Edward

Britain's Prince Edward presented the weather during a trip to the University of Reading.

The Earl of Wessex, accompanied by his wife Sophie, was given a tour of the university and took on the challenge of using the green screen to give his own forecast.

He learnt the ropes from 'Good Morning Britain's' weather presenter Laura Tobin before taking his turn in front of the camera, looking smart in a grey suit, white shirt and yellow tie.

Sophie watched on as her husband followed in the footsteps of Prince Charles, who also attempted to present a lunchtime weather forecast slot in 2012.

Laura later took to Twitter to praise Prince Edward, who she thought was a quick learner, and later spoke about the royal visit on 'Good Morning Britain'.

She posted a photograph of the two of them, along with the caption: "Here I am giving top tips on weather presenting to Prince Edward! He was a good pupil & rivalled Prince Charles @gmb (sic)"
