Studio Ghibli

Studio Ghibli is a Japanese animation film studio that was formed back in 1985; it is headed by directors Hayao Miyazaki and Isao Takahata and the producer Toshio Suzuki.

Throughout the years they have produced movies such as Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, My Neighbour Totoro, Kiki's Delivery Service and Princess Mononoke.

In recent years the Studio Ghibli movies have enjoyed a greater success outside of Japan. Spirited Away won the Best Animated Feature Oscar, while Howl's Moving Castle was also nominated for the same away.

Ponyo, Arrietty and From Up On Poppy Hill are the most recent films from this fantastic studio.
