The place to visit this summer Tulum, Mexico

The only thing that can help to beat the January blues is to start planning the trip that you hope to take during the summer. If you're not too sure on the place that you would like to visit then carry on reading as I have the place tipped to be the holiday hot spot of the year.

Last summer there was the beautiful Sardinia. The second largest island in the Mediterranean has seen an increase in the number of tourists visiting and managed to draw the likes of Frank Lampard and Christine Bleakley during the past year.

Now we have Tulum, placed along the Caribbean coast of the Mexico.

The most enticing part of Tulum is that you escape the crowds of Cancun and Playa del Carmen, escaping to a beautiful part of the country, where you can enjoy cave diving, kite surfing and snorkelling.

Tulum is the perfect combination of beach, archaeological zone and Pueblo, the town. This grew from a small junction stop into a thriving place to visit, which is continuously growing to support the ever growing number of visitors.

Tulum served as a point of defence against invaders from both the land and sea, it was the port of call for the maritime commerce that thrived along the coast.

The Mayan ruins are now one of the most visited of all the ruins and definitely serve as a main attraction of Tulum, spend the day exploring, or swim and relax on the beach. It's said the best way to enjoy the view, is to swim out in the ocean as the sun beats down and enjoy the picturesque setting of the Mayan ruins.

The archaeological zone includes a large craft market, as well as some fast food restaurants and an assortment of stores. Along this area you can also see the Mayan pole fliers perform. So take a break in the resounding heat and sit down, relax and enjoy the show.

It's a destination for adventure and beauty. The increase in tourism allows small business in the town continue to improve. Soak up the culture in this ideal summer break.
