Even the average phone camera reel was once filled with friends, bars and social events, and Zoom parties don't provide quite the same visual stimulation.

A photo competition from Agora challenged the world's photographers to submit their best snapshots of lockdown – and more than 15,000 of them responded. Judges have announced the 50 finalists, so here are our top picks…
