'The Real Housewives of Orange County' is one of the biggest reality shows on the planet.

We got the chance to chat to castmember Heather Dubrow about being in the show, what led to her decision to sign-up and living the high life.

What can you tell us about 'The Real Housewives of Orange County'?

It's really a modern day soap opera. Truth can definitely be stranger than fiction.

Did you watch the first few seasons of the show before joining in season seven?

No, I decided not to watch the show. I wanted to meet the ladies without any preconceived notions.

Why did you make the decision to join a reality show like this one?

I thought it was a good opportunity to promote my husband (Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Terry Dubrow).

Are there any castmates that you have become friends with off camera as well?

Tamra and I are good friends and I was honored to be a bridesmaid in her wedding this past June.

How does the Orange County branch of Real Housewives differ from others in the franchise?

Orange County is the original. Hard to top that!

Do you watch any of the other Housewives shows? If so, which do you enjoy and who are some of your favourite Housewives?

I watch Beverly Hills. I love Kyle. We hung out together last summer when we shot the "Summer by Bravo" commercial and she was very funny and real.

How is your life living in wealth and luxury?

I am very grateful for all that we have. My husband and I have worked hard for it all. The best rewards are our healthy, happy, grounded kids.

What are some of your greatest memories of being in this community so far?

Family time in Orange County is the best. There is so much to do here! Also, I had my last two babies here.

What should fans of the show look forward to in season nine?

There has been no official pick up for season 9 yet. However, if there is a season 9 I would think there would be many changes.

What other projects are you involved in that we should be aware of?

I just shot an episode of Hawaii 5-0 that will be coming out in December! It was so much fun. I got to do a lot of stunts and working in Waikiki is not so shabby!
