Glee

Singer/songwriter Ryan Tedder has praised TV bosses for broadcasting Glee - because he's convinced the show will encourage more young men to embrace their musical talents.

The OneRepublic frontman admits he was taunted by bullies at school because of his love of musical theatre, and he hopes Glee will help remove the stigma so more wannabe stars will feel able to sing and dance without fear of ridicule.

He says, "I was in Some Like It Hot at school, playing one of the guys who dressed up as a woman. Being a 17 year old in Oklahoma in drag is not easy. I hope Glee makes the whole thing not as taboo, makes people more interested and less afraid."
