After seeing his baby daughter breathing, Alan Halsall "broke down".

The 'Coronation Street' actor - who plays happy-go-lucky Tyrone Dobbs in the ITV soap - admits he was reduced to tears when he saw his first child, three-month-old Sienna-Rae, whom he shares with his wife Lucy-Jo Hudson, take her first breath in August after a delivery that didn't go smoothly.

He said: "Once I saw her on Lucy's chest, and I could see she was breathing, and that Luce was alright, I broke down. I got a photo of Sienna at about 30 seconds old and I cut the cord."

The 31-year-old star took his tiny tot to the Cobbles when she was just two weeks old to meet the rest of the cast and he admits Michelle Keegan - who is currently dating Mark Wright - was cooing over her for ages.

He added to OK! magazine: "We said we'd go in for half an hour and we were still there three and a half house later! Production stopped!

"Everyone loved her. Andy [Whyment], Samia [Ghadie] and Jane [Danson] all met Sienna, and without a doubt, Michelle [Keegan] is the broodiest. She became an auntie the same week, so I showed her all out photos and went into great detail. And a lot of the lads at work - Chris [Gascoyne] and Simon [Gregson] - said it would change my life, but it didn't until it happened. I told them that I absolutely get it now."
