Amy Willerton and Joey Essex have already bonded in the Australian jungle after Willerton taught Essex how to tell the time.

The 'Miss Universe Great Britain' babe cosied up to 'The Only Way Is Essex' star on the jungle floor to show the hapless heartthrob how the hands on a watch work after his admission that he can only tell the time through his phone.

Amy said to him: "You ought to remember, if you want to go and buy a nice watch, like a designer watch, people will come up to you and say, 'Joey, what's the time?' "

To which Joey replied: "I've got a watch, but watches are more like fashion, ain't they? My watch ain't got numbers on it."

Despite the 21-year-old beauty's best efforts, Joey, 23, struggled with the concept, telling her: "It's so much easier to look at your phone though, isn't it?"

Joey picked Amy to be in his Red Team after telling former snooker word champion Steve Davis - who he has bonded with after discovering the sportsman is also from Essex - he wanted "all the fit birds" in his camp.

Meanwhile, the first Bushtucker trial of the series left Matthew Wright and Alfonso Ribeiro in tears.

All the celebrities were required to take part in the Turntable of Terror, which saw a member from each team compete against each other to win a meal for their respective camps. They had to put together a star puzzle while encased in a perspex box and covered with nasties such as cockroaches, lizards and snakes.

The Yellow Team - Matthew, Alfonso, Westlife singer Kian Egan, fashion designer David Emanuel and 'Emmerdale' actress Lucy Pargeter - won the most stars and not only got more meals but also the right to stay at the more comfortable Croc Creek campsite.

However, the task took its toll on talk show host Matthew and 'Fresh Prince of Bel Air' actor Alfonso, who cried after winning their stars. Alfonso admitted he needed a moment to "decompress" afterwards.

The Red Team - Joey, Steve, Amy, Olympic swimmer Rebecca Adlington and 'EastEnders' actress Laila Morse - did get one meal when Lucy refused to compete against Joey allowing him to win a star.

The public have voted for Matthew and Joey to face each other in the next Bushtucker Trial, Monday Night Takeaway, which viewers will see this evening (18.11.13).
