Ant and Dec

Ant and Dec have signed a £30 million deal with ITV.

The comedy duo have agreed to a three-year contract, which will see them receive £5 million-a-year each, meaning they will be locked in to the channel and will continue to front shows such as 'Saturday Night Takeaway', 'I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!' and 'Britain's Got Talent'.

The pair's current £20 million two-year deal is due to expire in a few weeks, and ITV bosses were keen to sign up the twosome after agreeing to a separate £150 million three-year 'Britain's Got Talent' and 'X Factor' deal last week.

An ITV source told The Sun newspaper: "Ant and Dec have had a stellar year - 'Saturday Night Takeaway' was a huge success, auidences and critics loved it.

"With 'I'm a Celebrity' getting its best ratings yet, they're on a roll, so it's great news for ITV that they'll continue to be exclusive to us for three years."

Ant and Dec - real names Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly - previously said they were working on a number of other projects together, including a silent comedy show.

A source said earlier this year: "There will be some slapstick, but it won't just be full of physical gags.

"They have already started working on a script and hopefully they will find time to film it this year or early next."
