The 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!' co-hosts have wished the ITV soap a happy 60th birthday ahead of the milestone next week, and they told show bosses to give them a ring if cobbles chiefs want to feature the presenting pair in Weatherfield.

Dec added: "'Corrie' was always on in our houses growing up. One of the best things about it is the brilliant double acts down the years, like Hilda and Stan, Jack and Vera, Roy and Hayley Cropper."

Ant added: "So, if you ever need a brand-new Geordie double act turning up in Weatherfield, you know who to call."

The pair - who shot to fame as child actors on CBBC drama 'Byker Grove' in the 1990s - also praised the show as "a TV institution".

Speaking in a video posted on the 'Corrie' Twitter account, Ant said: "Happy 60th birthday, 'Corrie'. What an incredible achievement - 60 years as a TV institution, and you're still going from strength to strength. Amazing."

This comes just days after 'I'm A Celebrity' star Shane Richie tipped his campmate Sir Mo Farah to land a role in 'EastEnders', after the actor taught the Olympian how to walk and talk like Walford's Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden).

Speaking on the show, Shane said: "He’s moving along nicely with the East End accent.

"I reckon if we’re here for another couple of days, he could be a new reg in the Queen Vic."

Mo was delighted with his 'EastEnders' lesson from Shane.

He said: "I learned some more cockney from Alfie. I just remember Phil Mitchell telling someone off or him not being happy with someone."
