ITV have confirmed the semis, which were due to take place in May before being postponed as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, will finally get underway, with the first of five pre-recorded episodes due to air on Saturday September 5th at 8pm.

But beforehand, 'Britain's Got Talent: The Finalists Revealed' will take place this Sunday (30.08.20) in which the judges - Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden, and David Walliams - decide who makes it through to the semis, with the episode filmed in February.

A post on the 'BGT' Instagram read: "The Judges have been deliberating, but who will make it through to the #BGT Semi-Finals?

"Find out on Britain's Got Talent: The Finalists Revealed, Sunday 30th August, 6:30pm on @itv and @wearestv1

This comes after ITV confirmed this week that Ashley Banjo will step in for Simon Cowell on the 'BGT' panel after the music mogul broke his back recently and had to undergo surgery.

A post on the 'BGT' Instagram read: "It's official! The amazing @ashleybanjogram will be stepping in as Guest Judge for the #BGT Semi-Finals while @simoncowell recovers from his recent back operation.

"We can't wait to see you back on Britain's Got Talent, Ashley! (sic)"

Ashley wrote on Instagram: "Funny what can change in a year - Let alone in a lifetime... @simoncowell get well soon boss man, I've got you until then. From contestant to judge... The journey continues #bgt #wearediversity (sic)"
