The 35-year-old pop star - who serves as a Dance Captain on the BBC show - has lost Frobacks, the four-piece group from London, and Dane Bates Collective just before the final.

The elimination of the two acts means that next week's final will be contested by KLA, Ellie, Harry & Eleiyah, and James & Oliver, all of whom did enough to survive for another week.

Earlier in the show, Oti Mabuse - who is another of the Dance Captains - was reduced to tears by KLA's performance.

Oti, 28, admitted to being overcome with emotion after she watched them perform.

She said: "It's only because I know how hard it is, and I know how hard they've worked. We've been in the studio ... I'm sorry.

"I get so nervous when KLA dances because I know they can sometimes get overwhelmed by everyone.

"They don't do flips and they can't stand on their heads and do the jumping jacks that everyone can do. But they dance and they deliver, Latin and Ballroom.

"Girls I'm so proud of you, because you come out, you learn new dances in two days, you push yourselves and you use those umbrellas! I love you, never forget that."

The episode also saw Pasha Kovalev dance alongside his 'Strictly Come Dancing' co-stars for the final time.

Pasha, 39, previously announced he was quitting the BBC show to seek out a new challenge.
