The 'Strictly Come Dancing' judge has been fighting with his ex-boyfriend Damon Scott over their pet pooches Sophie and Charlie since their split in May as he has claimed he can only see his four-legged friends when his former lover isn't at home.

Speaking to MailOnline, the 51-year-old star said: "He [Damon] took the dogs. But then there was no way I could look after them because I was on tour and I was just about to do 'Sister Act' as well. He's living back with his parents and the dogs are happy. They are only a mile away in Hampshire and I have visitation rights. I go and see them but I just have to make sure he's not there at the same time."

After the couple split earlier this year, Damon accused Craig of being a drunk and claimed the dancing superstar had only gone one day without booze during their three-year relationship.

Craig - who met Damon in a bar after his five-year relationship with pharmacist Grant MacPherson came to an end - has now said that although the split from Damon was "mutual", there is no chance of them remaining friends because it's too bitter.

He said: "Unfortunately he did a kiss and tell with a newspaper, which was disappointing. Let's just say we are not going to be friends like I am with my other exes."

However, the dancer isn't letting this break up get him down and he has admitted that he's already got himself on dating sites to start looking for love again.

He said: "I've gone on all the usual dating sites so I can meet new and interesting people. It's just good fun to date, isn't it?"
