The 24-year-old TV star gave birth to her son Santiago on January 23, but Dani has admitted things didn't go to plan, leaving her in tears, and she is finding breastfeeding "hard".

Speaking on her and dad Danny Dyer's Spotify Original Podcast 'Sorted with the Dyers', she said: "You just want to cry, and you’re like, 'Why do I wanna cry? I just wanna sob.' "I think it’s because you’re constantly thinking, 'Am I doing enough, am I doing it right?' Breastfeeding is hard. It’s difficult."

Danny said: "It’s the first week babe, calm down."

But Dani added: "I know. But you wanna do everything right. Obviously I had to have a cesarean in the end and I was crying about that, because I never planned that, I never wanted a c-section. I know they’re very common and I know they happen but i never wanted that, it was never in my birth plan. So I started feeling like a failure, it’s ridiculous.

"So the baby didn’t want to come out basically, he didn’t fancy it. "

Danny, 43 - who plays Mick Carter in 'EastEnders' - joked the baby was probably reluctant to emerge into a world dominated by the coronavirus pandemic.

He quipped: "Don’t blame him, why would you want to? There’s a f****** pandemic going on! Everyone’s locked in their f****** houses I get it. He’s like, 'Hold on, I’ll wait another month.' "

Dani praised her partner Sammy Kimmence for the support he gave her in the delivery room.

She said: "He did get me through it. I needed someone to laugh with. I was lucky to even have Sammy there."

'Sorted with the Dyers' is a Spotify Original podcast with new episodes out every Wednesday.
