The 'Britain's Got Talent' judge - who previously swam the English Channel - would love to travel around the world for a series where he finds the "most exciting and dangerous places to swim", such as in the Artic conditions of the North Pole.

He said: "I would love to do a TV show where I swim in some of the most extraordinary places in the world. I would love to be able to swim in the North Pole, in the South Pole. Not as an act of endurance. In the proper gear. See all the wildlife there, swim in the Amazon. All the places in the world that are the most exciting and dangerous places to swim. That would be a really excited and satisfying challenge for me. Whenever I watch David Attenborough programmes, especially ones where people swim under the ice, capturing the wildlife... I just think wow, I would love to see that, that would just be magic."

And David would also like to explore shipwrecks, too.

Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper, he shared: "I would love to swim in places where people have never swam. Whenever I see a body of water, I always think, oh I’d like to get in. I’d love to explore ship wrecks and things. Someone needs to give me a TV series where I can explore shipwrecks."

Meanwhile, David previously revealed he is often overwhelmed with a number of projects to work on there's a "danger" of veering too far away from what he truly wants to do.

Speaking in 2016, he said: "The problem with being successful is that you get all these other opportunities. 'Do you want to present a programme about this?'; 'Do you want to do some swimming for charity?' - and suddenly you're in danger of becoming a celebrity at large and you've lost sight of what it is you wanted to do. There's nothing like getting back to what I wanted to do in the first place - which is comedy."
