The 45-year-old actor - who is best known for playing Robbie Jackson on 'EastEnders' - and Joe drank a variety of blended animal parts as part of the Flipping Disgusting trial.

The soap stars were competing to win treats for their fellow campmates - but they were left vomiting repeatedly as they struggled to digest their drinks, which included mashed-up maggots and blended cow vagina.

Ant McPartlin, the long-time co-host of the show, subsequently described the segment as the "most disgusting piece of television [he's] ever been involved with".

Dean first appeared on 'I'm A Celebrity' in 2006 and he recently revealed that he's still frequently reminded of his most difficult Bushtucker Trial.

The actor - who finished in fifth place during the 2006 series - shared: "That live Trial became folklore. Every year it gets wheeled out as one of the best moments, so even if I want to forget it I can’t! People still stop me in the street and chat to me about the Trial.

"And whenever I am having a bad day, I put the Trial on and it makes me feel better. My pain is everyone else’s gain!"

Meanwhile, the celebrities have all been split into two separate camps on the ITV show.

The green camp includes Joe, Georgia 'Toff' Toffolo, Fatima Whitbread, Paul Burrell, Andy Whyment and Janice Dickinson, while the yellow camp includes Dean, Carol Vorderman, Phil Tufnell, Helen Flanagan, Myleene Klass and Jordan Banjo.
