Gemma Collins' elimination from 'Dancing On Ice' has seemingly prompted an audience slump.

The reality TV star's behaviour on the ITV show attracted lots of attention, with as many as 7.6 million viewers tuning in to see Gemma fall on her face during one routine, after previously being called "lazy" and a "brat" by judge Jason Gardiner.

However, in the week following her exit, the peak viewership figure fell to 6.5 million.

And this week, the viewing figures dropped to an average of 4.9 million and peaked with 5.6 million, suggesting that Gemma was the programme's main attraction this year.

Meanwhile, it was recently reported that Gemma could soon return to 'The Only Way Is Essex'.

The reality star took a break from the ITVBe show - which she joined in 2011 during the programme's second series - last year in order to focus on her spin-off show and to take part in 'Dancing on Ice'.

But after leaving 'Dancing On Ice', Gemma could apparently be headed for an early return to 'TOWIE'.

A source explained: "She's constantly busy and if she's back on 'TOWIE', she wants to give it her all. The problem is that 'TOWIE' is all about the cast's lives, and her life isn't normal anymore.

"She can't be in the Sugar Hut talking about how she's working in her shop when her fans know she wasn't, and instead she was shopping in Harrods with her 'Dancing On Ice' mates.

"But she loves the show, loves the team and wants to return next series."
