Gemma Collins has been left "absolutely shocked and saddened" by Mick Norcross' death.

The former 'Only Way Is Essex' star has paid tribute to her late pal and co-star, who was found dead at his home on Thursday (21.01.21) aged 57, and Gemma has described Mick as "one of the good guys".

She wrote on Instagram: "ALWAYS A GENTLEMAN. absolutely shocked and saddened by the news. my thoughts and prayers are going out to Kirk family and friends absolutely tragic #ripmicknorcross the memories of the early days the sugar hut and the wonderful filming parties you put on will never be forgotten. you never know what someone is going through you was one of the good guys (sic)"

Essex Police have confirmed Mick - whose son is former 'TOWIE' star Kirk Norcross - was pronounced dead when they were called to his home on Thursday, and his death is "not being treated as suspicious".

They said in a statement: "We were called to an address in Brentwood Road, Bulphan shortly before 3.15pm on Thursday 21 January.

"Sadly, a man inside was pronounced dead. His death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."

Mick - who owned the Sugar Hut club in Essex, south east England - wrote about "the end" in his last-ever tweet.

He posted: "At the end remind yourself that you did the best you could. And that is good enough."

Several stars replied to the tweet, paying tribute to Mick.

'Hollyoaks' actress Denise Welch wrote: "Truly heartbreaking. You were a lovely man"

Former 'Love Island' winner Cara de la Hoyde-Massey shared a broken heart emoji, as did ex-pro footballer Aaron McLean.

Several 'TOWIE' stars past and present have paid tribute to Mick, including Gemma's ex James ‘Arg’ Argent.

He wrote: "A true gentleman & a very kind man! RIP Mick. Many amazing memories, So Sad! My thoughts are with his family. (sic)"
