The 55-year-old presenter has confirmed the outspoken TV star will appear in a new episode of the series in 2021, and Gemma admitted recording the show was a "cathartic" experience for her.

She shared: "Do you know what, Piers, I want to thank you for that because it was very ... what's the word? Cathartic? It was very cathartic, and yeah, it was a real accolade to my career, you inviting me on.

"I am a bit nervous for people to see it, because obviously I do spill the beans on a lot of things with you that people haven't heard before."

Piers also enjoyed filming the episode.

He said on 'Good Morning Britain': "It was very emotional and it was very enjoyable as well. I thoroughly enjoyed it - it airs in the new year."

What's more, Piers admitted Gemma - who has recorded a charity cover of 'Baby, It's Cold Outside' with Darren Day - wowed him with her singing talents during their interview.

He said: "PM meets The GC and at one stage, I challenge you to show me your talent and you sprang to your feet, did a bit of dancing and you sang. And I've got to say, you've got a good set of pipes on you!"

Meanwhile, Gemma has welcomed the news of the coronavirus vaccine being rolled out across the UK.

The 39-year-old TV star - who first found fame on 'The Only Way Is Essex' - feels like she can finally see the end of the coronavirus crisis in sight.

She said: "You know what, Piers, it's fantastic.

"I mean, if it's going to get us another step forward and we can all kind of see a light at the end of the tunnel that we've all been in ... it's a fabulous, positive day. So I'm all for it."
