The former 'Emmerdale' star - who played Rachel Breckle on the ITV soap from 2011 to 2015 - has also been charging £500 to businesses who want her to record a marketing message.

Announcing the news on Twitter, she wrote: "I’m now part of @memmo_uk where you can get personal video messages from yours truly Click the link to book a #memmo from little ole northern monkey, me! there's a little video intro on there too. I won't waffle like that if you book me...promise-ish (sic)"

Gemma recorded an introduction video on the site, in which she explained she will record messages for most occasions, including birthdays and christenings.

She said: "Hi everyone, I am on memmo. My name is Gemma Oaten. Some of you may know me from 'Emmerdale' and some of you may know me from 'Holby City'. Some of you know may know me in normal walks of life but here I am and I'm very excited to record some personal videos.

"I promise you I wash my hair on days I record personal videos. I'm up for doing birthdays, christenings, bar mitzvahs. You name it, I'll do it. I can tell stupid jokes, sing a song, who knows. Whatever you want, your wish is granted permitted it's safe, responsible and in the remit of being non-crude."

Gemma is joined on the site by fellow soap stars, including former 'Corrie' star Catherine Tyldesley, current cast member Lisa George and former 'EastEnders' stars Danniella Westbrook and Cerith Flinn.

Meanwhile, Gemma recently admitted she's hoping to meet someone "tall, dark and handsome" this year.

She said: "It'd be nice to think next year I might meet somebody who makes me smile - but that doesn't define me. "My ideal man would be someone tall, dark and handsome, who can make me laugh."

However, if the 36-year-old star's pet pooch Ruby isn't a fan of one of her potential suitors then she will have to wave goodbye to them.

She added: "But if Ruby the dog doesn't like them, they're gone."
