The cast of the hit reality show were told earlier this week that they would not be flying to Colombia when planned, and the likes of Sophie Kasaei and Charlotte Crosby are said to fear that it'll be axed altogether, after MTV bosses failed to give them new filming dates.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "This week everyone was told filming for the 10-year reunion was cancelled.

"Some of the cast are worried it won’t go ahead but MTV bosses are determined it will go ahead."

The much-anticipated reunion has already been undermined by rows over filming, quarantine stipulations and phones.

And now, rather than being a celebration of the show's success, the reunion - which was set to take place in Colombia due to the coronavirus pandemic - has turned into an "almighty headache".

The insider shared: "There have been issues around Colombia and the cast have been rowing with producers over quarantine stipulations and having to have their phones taken away.

"The 10-year anniversary was meant to be a massive celebration but it’s just turned into an almighty headache. Right now no one knows if they’re coming or going."

Despite the problems, MTV is determined to press ahead with the reunion.

A source added: "While filming is postponed for the moment, MTV is still planning to do it- and when it does happen they expect it to be absolutely epic.

"Fans are going to love it."

Meanwhile, Charlotte reportedly planned to leave the reunion earlier than the other stars because she didn't want to be away from her boyfriend for too long.

A source previously said: "Charlotte's so busy in the UK - she's got several businesses, the house renovation and Liam waiting at home for her.

"She doesn't want to leave any of that for too long, so she's agreed to film for two weeks then return home, while the rest of the cast stay out for a month."
