The 35-year-old star says the 107-year-old record breaker - who became the world's oldest soap actor after landing a cameo in the Channel 4 soap - would be "more than welcome" to return to the fictional village to film further scenes, and admits he is an "inspirational man".

She said: "I think that it's brilliant at 107 years old what that man is doing. If he wants to join us more often then he's more than welcome.

"It was absolutely amazing and an honour to meet him.

"To meet someone like himself who is the good old age of 107, to hear what's he's been doing with all the world records he's been breaking. He's such an inspirational and wonderful man."

Jack's cameo on the soap will see him comforting Nikki's alter-ego Maxine Minniver outside a hospital.

She explained: "Maxine is stood outside the hospital crying and Jack comes past her and sees her crying.

"He offers her some wise words of wisdom from someone who has lived a very long plentiful life."

Nikki's comments come after her co-star Jacob Roberts (Damon Kinsella) praised Jack as "brave" for appearing on the show.

He added: "Jack is 107 years old, and it's a really difficult thing to come in and learn lines for anybody and the fact that he's done it is so brave and great for him."

Jack - who is raising money for Alzheimer's Dementia Support with his soaps challenge - has broken several records since turning 100.

He became the oldest person to ride a zip wire above a 1,312ft-long drop after turning 106, was the oldest person to ride a rollercoaster in 2017 aged 105, and he became the oldest person to get a tattoo aged 104.
