Jacqueline Jossa is set to return to 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!' - but she turned down the chance to spend a night in camp.

The former 'EastEnders' actress triumphed on last year's series, and while she is expected to make a return to hand her crown over to the first-ever King or Queen of the Castle on the show - which is based in Gwrych Castle, north Wales this year - she is said to have rejected the opportunity to appear on the programme earlier in the 20th series, because she didn't want to "steal anyone else's thunder".

A source said: "Jacqueline is really grateful to ITV.

"But while she was offered the chance to make a cameo she didn’t want to steal anyone else’s thunder.

"She’s had her jungle experience and they should have their own."

Instead of introducing a trial or sleeping overnight in the camp, Jacqueline will hand the crown over in what is expected to be a "flying visit".

The source added to The Sun newspaper: "She accepted the chance to hand over the crown but it’ll be a flying visit.

"She’ll be there and back in a day."

This comes following reports Joe Swash - who won the show in 2008 - is set to re-appear on 'I'm A Celebrity' this year.

A source said: "When they were looking at those to invite back, he seemed a no-brainer."

However, Joe's partner Stacey Solomon admitted she didn't know anything about the former 'EastEnders' actor returning to the show.

Speaking on 'Loose Women', she said: "Not that I know unless he's hiding something, he's not isolating, he's been with me, so I hope not.

"Honestly, if he has pulled off going on 'I’m A Celeb' without telling me it'll be the best thing he's ever done.

"I said, 'Are you going back into the jungle?' And he said, 'No, what?' "

Former 'I'm A Celebrity' stars Vicky Pattison, Charlie Brooks and Joey Essex have also been linked with returns to the show this year.
