James ‘Arg’ Argent has hailed Mick Norcross as a “true gentleman” after the Sugar Hut founder passed away on Thursday (21.01.21).

The ‘Only Way Is Essex’ star has led tributes to his co-star Mick - who appeared on the ITVBe reality series as the owner of the popular celebrity night spot – after it was confirmed he was found dead in his home at the age of 57.

Arg wrote on social media: "A true gentleman & a very kind man! RIP Mick. Many amazing memories, So Sad! My thoughts are with his family. (sic)”

Tributes have poured in from other ‘TOWIE’ stars, including Jess Wright, who also described Mick as a “gentleman”.

She wrote: "Terribly, terribly sad. Always such a gentleman and so kind. Devastated for him and his family. Sending love to them at this time. RIP Mick. (sic)”

Whilst Bobby Norris penned: "Just a reminder in case your mind is playing tricks on you today.

"You matter. You're important. You're loved. And your presence on this earth makes a difference whether you see it or not."

Mick also received tributes from several other celebrities, including from ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ star Jess Impiazzai.

Jess wrote: "Thank you for the memories @micky_norcross - still can’t believe what I’m hearing always been so supportive! Will be sorely missed.

"Please don’t ever feel like no one is there or wants to listen, you matter!

"You’re loved! And the world is better with you in it there is always light at the end of the tunnel! I promise! (sic)”

Mick was confirmed to have passed away by Essex Police on Thursday, after he was pronounced dead when they were called to his home.

They said in a statement: "We were called to an address in Brentwood Road, Bulphan shortly before 3.15pm on Thursday 21 January.

"Sadly, a man inside was pronounced dead. His death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
