Jane McDonald is returning to Loose Women for a one-off guest appearance

The 60-year-old star - who first found fame when she appeared as a singer onthe BBC docusoap 'The Cruise' in the late 1990s - was a mainstay on the ITV1 lunchtime panel show from 2004 until 2014 but is set to make a guest appearance on Tuesday (05.09.23) to discuss her latest travel programme.

She wrote on Instagram: "I’m so excited!! I’ll be on @loosewomen next Tuesday 5th September chatting about my new travel series ‘Jane McDonald: Lost in Japan’ and lots more! Tune in Tuesday at 12.30pm on @itvxofficial."

Since leaving the panel, Jane has hosted a slew of travel documentaries for Channel 5 including 'Cruising with Jane McDonald' and 'Jane McDonald: My Yorkshire' and has toured the UK with her concerts but is currently taking a break from the stage.

The 'You're My World' songstress - who was in a relationship with The Searchers drummer Eddie Rothe for 13 years before he died of lung cancer in March 2021 - last returned to 'Loose Women' towards the end of last year, where she revealed that she asked her best friend and 'Celebrity Gogglebox' co-star Sue Ravey to move in with her following the death of her partner.

She said: "Sue has moved in with me, thank God, because she's a really good cook and she's really tidy.

"It was a no-brainer for me and Sue because Sue and I have been friends for 30 years now. We've got the same humour, we like the same food. I have a house, she had a house. We don't really have cross words. We both like our own space, and a lot of people thought we were a couple. There's nothing wrong with that, but we're not together together. I love her, but not that much!"
