The pro footballer's significant other Alice Goodwin was "totally embarrassed" after seeing him flirt with Chloe Ayling on the Channel 5 show, which he played down as "banter", and it is said he will have to "pull out all the stops" to save his marriage.

A friend close to Alice told Mirror Online: "Jermaine totally embarrassed Alice with his antics, he really needs to grow up and be a bit more mature, he has a beautiful wife who had to listen to people constantly talking about his behaviour in the house.

"I think it's 50/50 whether they will stay together, Jermaine will have to pull out all the stops to keep her."

Jermaine is said to have waited on a step outside a family member's house for hours before model Alice agreed to speak to him about his time on 'CBB', on which he confessed he "likes" 21-year-old Chloe, and the married couple are set for more talks about their relationship.

The pal added: "I think they are going to meet again tomorrow but flowers and chocolates aren't going to win her over, Jermaine has to show how much he wants her."

A representative for Jermaine said: "They are not going to make any comment at the moment, let's see what happens."

Jermaine recently admitted he had apologised to Alice and insisted his actions were "innocent".

He told BANG Showbiz: "Well I've apologised for how it may look on the outside and if she's been embarrassed and she's upset and the family. So, I've apologised and she accepted it. So what we do now, is we move on and continue our lives.

"The way it came out - it looks worse then what it actually was in the inside so I have no idea how it seems on the outside and what backlash has came from it, so obviously she's upset.

"A lot of people have put their 10 pence piece worth in and you know, making it worse.

"But it was innocent even though it didn't look innocent so, nothing happened, it was just a little bit of flirting. You know, you're in the house for 24 hours - as I keep saying and you know, half of the stuff you've seen wasn't bad in there because you're together a long time."
