The 'Gavin & Stacey' actress took to her Twitter account on Thursday (15.12.16) to announce that she and her husband James Thornton welcomed a "beautiful baby boy" named Noah into the world on Tuesday (13.12.16) morning.
She wrote: "Our beautiful baby boy Noah Wilder Russell was born Tues the 13th at 8:51am, weighing 7pounds 3. Welcome to our gang Noah! We love you xxx (sic)"
Newborn Noah is the third child for the 38-year-old star and the 'Emmerdale' star as they already have three-year-old daughter Eva and 20-month-old son Kit.
The couple - who got married in 2003 - announced they were expecting another little one in June and, although she had been struck down with morning sickness, she claimed that her queasy tummy was a "breeze" compared to looking after her kids.
She said: "Some good news! We've got baby number 3 on the way!!!! ... Morning sickness is a breeze when you're already looking after a 3 and 1 year old!" (sic)"
And, although she's only just given birth to her third child, it probably won't be long before the pair start trying for another little one as they'd like to have a big family.
She said previously: "James is one of four, so to him four is the norm. For me one is the norm, but I can see how people get addicted to having babies.
"I would like to keep going and pop out as many as possible - I only wish I'd started having them at a younger age."
