In 2020, many of us were confined to our homes due to lockdown, and streaming services, such as Netflix, kept us sane. Tiger King became one of the most watched shows of the pandemic, and it looks as though fans are still hungry for more related content to sink their teeth into.

Tiger King first premiered on Netflix on March 20th, 2020, and was immediately binge-watched by what seemed like just about anybody you spoke to. Social media platforms were set alight with discussions about the series, and it now seems that fans are about to have even more content to talk about.

JOE vs CAROLE is scheduled to arrive on Peacock, Sky and NOW at the beginning of March this year (2022); all eight episodes of the forthcoming series will be available to stream at once.

The show will be a scripted adaptation of the Wondery podcast which debuted in 2020 titled Joe Exotic: Tiger King, hosted and reported by Robert Moor.

After Netflix’s Tiger King had the nation practically glued to their screen upon its release, Peacock Original series JOE vs CAROLE will be a chance for viewers to see some familiar faces take on the roles of some of the most globally-recognised, real-life characters in this exciting, yet ridiculous release.

JOE vs CAROLE is, of course, based on the true story and real-life events surrounding the savage rivalry between Carole Baskin and Joe ‘Exotic’ Schreibvogel and, their 'Big Cat' businesses.

Kate McKinnon (Saturday Night Live) will be portraying Carole, and John Cameron Mitchell (How to Talk to Girls at Parties) will be playing Joe.

Based on the original podcast, the series also stars Kyle MacLachlan as Howard Baskin, Brian Van Holt as John Reinke, Sam Keeley as John Finlay, Nat Wolff as Travis Maldonado, Marlo Kelly as Jamie Murdock, William Fichtner as Rick Kirkham, Dean Winters as Jeff Lowe and David Wenham as Don Lewis.

The teaser trailer, which is just shy of 40 seconds long, highlights McKinnon and Mitchell in their roles as Carole and Joe, respectively. The series is sure to be popular among those who watched Tiger King, and can’t wait for more content.

JOE vs CAROLE will be available to watch on Peacock, exclusively via Sky and NOW, on March 4th, 2022.
