Another helping of ‘John & Lisa’s Weekend Kitchen’ has been confirmed.

Married couple John Torode and Lisa Faulkner will return for a new, fifth series of their cooking show on November 14th to provide inspiration for warm, wintery meals during the weeks leading up to Christmas.
The 55-year-old chef said: “People want to see reality. We are two people that like to be together and like to cook together and I think that resonates and people like that."Cooking is not supposed to be a chore and the difficulty is, with families and stuff, it can become a chore, but what we try to do is try to take away a bit of the angst and the stress. So that some things don’t have to be as complicated.
“One of the greatest ones we did was a flatbread that we turned into a pizza base, which was just yoghurt and flour. "People didn’t realise you don’t always need a yeast to make a dough and wait for it to rise … that actually there is an easier way of doing it. We find that the recipes that get the most hits on the website are probably the simplest ones.”
The 10-part series will see the couple - who married in 2019 - cook simple meals for the entire family to enjoy, from breakfast to dinner.
John and the 48-year-old actress will also be getting into the festive spirit with three Christmas-themed episodes that will showcase their seasonal recipes, including the perfect Crab Cocktail, Lisa’s Ultimate Nut Roast, and a Christmas Dinner Tray Bake.
John added: “When we were told we were doing more Christmas episodes this year, I felt like we’ve made it! "We did some last year and they went down an absolute storm and this year for Christmas we have taken it back a little bit, with the full knowledge that maybe we won’t be able to have as many family members around celebrating with us, so have really thought about how we do Christmas this year … rather than doing massive feasts.
"And lots of little tips for people to help get them through and ways of doing things to just take the stress away. But yes, Christmas day, Boxing day, New Year's Day… all those things are in there and all kinds of stuff to do with the leftovers!”
‘John & Lisa’s Weekend Kitchen’ will air on Saturday 14th November at 11:40am on ITV.
