Joanne Froggatt would love 'Downton Abbey' to feature a guest appearance from none other than Dame Judi Dench.

The 33-year-old actress plays Anna Bates in the ITV period drama, and would be delighted if the 79-year-old actress or Australian star Toni Collette, who she idolises, joined the cast.

She told Look magazine: "Dame Judi Dench would be nice. Who else would I choose? Toni Collette is a big favourite of mine, so I'd like her to pop in. I don't think she would."

'Downton Abbey' has a huge fan base in America and Joanne would "love" to move to the US, like her former co-stars Jessica Brown Findlay and Dan Stevens, to pursue a career in Hollywood.

She explained: "I'd love to work in America. I'm open to whether it's theatre or TV. At the moment my life is flexible so I can still travel with work. I haven't got children yet, so I want to make the most of that."

Acting has been a passion of hers since she was young when she would watch stars on TV and want to have the same success.

She added: "[Acting is] all I ever wanted to do, from probably about three years old. I remember watching films with my older brother and think: 'I want to do what they do on the telly. That looks exciting."
