The filmmakers behind hit sensation Netflix documentary Making A Murderer were today on the TODAY Show in America, and announced that a juror from the Steven Avery case had been in touch with them to tell them their feelings about how his trial in relation to the murder of Teresa Halbach was handled.

This juror told Moira Demos and Laura Ricciardi that whilst a unanimous guilty verdict for Avery was given at the time, something which they were a part of in giving, they believed a new trial should be held for Avery 'far away from Wisconsin'.

They also said that they gave a guilty verdict in the trial because they feared for their own personal safety, and that fellow jurors 'traded votes', ending with a 'compromise' when giving their final verdicts.

This came after we spoke to Sandra Bogotka about the night Teresa disappeared. She told us she saw Steven that night, but her statements were ignored by the authorities.

Read everything she had to say here.
