Lacey Turner felt “so alone” after suffering two devastating miscarriages.

The ‘EastEnders’ star is now mother to two children – daughter Dusty, 21 months, and son Trilby, two months – but endured two heartbreaking pregnancy losses before she was able to welcome her children.
And now, Lacey has said she had to “grieve the fact that you aren't going to be a mother” as well as processing the loss of her babies.
She explained: "For me, I think you become a mother the minute you're pregnant. For that to be taken away, that's another loss. You grieve the fact that you aren't going to be a mother, as well as losing a baby."
The 33-year-old actress – who has her children with her husband Matt Kay – also spoke specifically about her first miscarriage, which she said left her feeling “so alone”.
Speaking on ‘BBC Breakfast’, she added: "I was 29, I think, and we were pregnant and I was so excited thinking of names and things like that. I got to seven weeks and I woke up about four, five o'clock in the morning with really heavy bleeding.
"I just remember sitting on my bed in a ball, sobbing. At the time, I remember thinking, 'Why me? Why is this only happening to me?' I did feel so alone because nobody knew."
Last year, Lacey opened up on her losses in a Channel 5 documentary titled ‘Miscarriage: Our Story’.
And speaking before the documentary aired, the ‘Our Girl’ star revealed she had returned to work the day after her miscarriage as if “nothing had happened”.
She said at the time: "I went back to work the next day, carried on like nothing had happened, which actually makes me really sad now looking back.
"I was probably walking around feeling so heartbroken yet nobody would have had a clue."
Lacey is supporting charity Tommy's petition to the government demanding support after all miscarriages, as currently women need to have experienced three losses to be eligible for help.
Tommy's are calling for mental health support, standardised tests and treatments, and better early support for high-risk women.
